One of Quebec City’s six legacy hotels, the four-star, full-service Delta Hotel by Marriott is located on Parliament Hill, just outside the Saint-John Gate and the Latin Quarter, and across the street from Quebec’s provincial Parliament buildings, and Visit Quebec considers this Marriott-standard property to be one of the best values in the City.
The Delta is adjacent to the Quebec City Convention Center and like the Quebec Hilton, to which it is also connected by the same underground passageway, the Delta is across the street from the Parliament complex, and a short walk to the picturesque Grande Allée and a dozen good restaurants and sidewalk cafés.
From there, the hotel it is about a 15-minute walk along Laurier Boulevard to the Plains of Abraham (Battlefields Park) and Quebec’s expansive Provincial art museum and it’s wonderful collection of Quebec historic art through which much of the history of Quebec has been learned.
In the opposite direction, it is an easy, two or three-minute walk (above or underground) to colorful Place d’Youville, la Porte-Saint-John, the gateway to the Latin Quarter and the Old City, and from there another ten minutes to the Promenade des Gouverneurs, the epicenter of Quebec City, outside the Chateau Frontenac.
The hotel features large, comfortable guestrooms, a full-service restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, a year-round, outdoor heated pool, fitness and business facilities, and it offers free Wi-Fi in all guestrooms and public areas. Pets are allowed. In-room coffee and a work desk are provided in every recently renovated and subtly decorated guestroom.
The Delta is the least expensive among Quebec City’s six, full-service legacy hotels, and Visit Quebec’s editors feel that guests here are giving up very little for the comparatively low hotel rates.
